Containerization is the future of enterprise infrastructure as a more resource-efficient alternative to Virtual Machines (VMs) and an enabler of new models like micro-services. To successfully deploy containers in production at scale, an orchestration layer is necessary. CoreOS have led the containerization and Kubernetes movements from the beginning. Benefit from deeply engaged with open source communities and the domain knowledge gained by working with large enterprises, Tectonic, the secure, automated, and hybrid enterprise Kubernetes platform, is our vision in response to the pressing needs.
While kubectl command line tool is powerful, Tectonic Console serves as a great complementary that helps our users, the infrastructure owners and application owners, to know what's going on to their clusters or apps fast, so as to maintain Kubernetes environments in ease.
I started at CoreOS in January of 2017. Since then, I have been working with a team of product visionaries, talented engineers, and many others to build and shape the experience of container orchestration primarily on the Tectonic Console, the web-based user interface of Tectonic. Detailed design process or example deliverables are available upon request.
